I can’t believe it – the gorgeous STRONG LOTUS YOGI has nominated me for the Mystery Blogger Award – I feel like such a fraud. Only serious writers with beautifully thought-out sites should get a mention on this, surely? Not a novice who still can’t work out the menu options and waffles profusely most of every day when she should be sweeping the floors of her temple. SLY on the other hand appears to have together. Each time I click on to her site and hide behind guilty hands as I look at her inspiring photographs of yoga positions, all of which I know (OK only the basic ones) I recall how amazing practising yoga regularly made me feel and I know it is her site I shall go to when I finally decide to start up again.
The Mystery Blogger Award is ours to nominate to fellow bloggers whom we feel entertain or educate, inspire or motivate. These bloggers deserve recognition and this is one way we can share the love.
The Mystery Blogger Award Rules if you choose to accept the baton:
- Thank whoever nominated you
- Mention the creator of the award and provide the link (I can copy SLY’s wording here as I also do not have the official link; so sorry.)
- Tell your readers three things about yourself
- Nominate 10-20 bloggers you feel deserve the award
- Notify your nominees by commenting on their blog
- Ask your nominees 5 questions of your choice with one weird/funny one (heck)
THREE THINGS ABOUT ME
I TALK TOO MUCH, I DON’T KNOW HOW TO TAKE THE UNDERSCORE OFF, AND THE BLUE BITS IN MY HAIR HAVE WASHED OUT. SHIT.
But I do know how to change the colours – ta-dah! (Oh, look, the underscore has gone) Just sip this lemon in water ,,, seems appropriate with all this fitness going down.
So SLY asked me:
1. What is one goal I have? Easy – to complete my manuscript of the contemporary romance I am working on, but I keep getting side-tracked by blogging! – AAARRGGG!
2. What motivates me and my blog? Easy – YOU LOT! I love communication and communicating with new writers and my now regular followers who have become part of my little chit chat sofa.
3. What is something that always makes me smile? The sunshine, because I think I suffer from that S.A.D. thingmebob. My children achieving their goals. Michael McIntyre. 007 (I’m pretty sure he’ll ring me soon, I’m very patient – only been waiting 18 years). Coco-pops.
4. What quality do I look for in others? Sincerity. Honesty. Modesty. Patience. Kindness.
5. What is my guilty pleasure? (Lean in … closer so I can whisper, coz I don’t want everyone to hear … reading and writing erotica …. *stands up straight and flattens out knee-length sensible skirt*) Pardon – did someone say something?
I NOMINATE (in no particular order!):
All of the above bloggers entertain me regularly. Some have more followers than others and I hope this nomination brings those with fewer followers and who may be newish to the scene a little more traffic.
My 5 questions to the bloggers above are:
- If you have to choose a week away, all expenses paid, where would you go?
- Who would you take with you?
- What was your first car and if money was no object what would be your ultimate car.
- Enough about money. If you published a book, what genre would it be?
- Who would play you in a film version of your life?
Have a lovely evening guys xx
No not at all. It is a great way for new bloggers to feel valued. 🌼

It means we do not accept or display awards. Some bloggers put a note on their blogs to avoid nomination. I hope that helps 🌼

I see.
And is that because you and those bloggers feel they are negative in some way? I’m curious because I don’t want to offend people by nominating them x

Many thanks for the nomination. You are kind. I am award free but here are my answers:
1. Rajastan like Best Exotic Marigold Hotel. 2. My family 3. A Nissan coupe – a wee sporty number. I am happy with my Toyota Yaris. 4. Already published my self help memoir ” Watching the Daisies.” 5. I love Judy Dench She is older than me but she seems lots of fun and has a twinkle in her eye !

This is the second time I’ve seen the expression ‘award free’ .. what does this mean if you don’t mind me asking?
Does it simply mean you’d rather not get involved with the process although you appreciate the mention? 😊

Okay !😆👏👏👏. We should decide on how long to give each of us to read a chapter , 1 week? 2 weeks ?
And then after the chapter what’s happening exactly?
LikeLiked by 2 people
Absolutely. A plan is always good 👌🏼
Personally with Portugal on the horizon I’d like two weeks minimum.. if we get into it, we’ll be begging each other for faster timescales maybe?
My suggestion would be to pick a day for ‘shared opinions’ coveting 24 hours in case any of our friends in different time zones wish to join in?
Then perhaps you Joesph can open discussions with a post about how you found it and we all share our opinions either in comments or create a pingback to your master post?
Happy to fit in with a different suggestion if you or ortensia can think of a better way?
🥂

I’ve been trying to dodge Awards like Neo dodging bullets in The Matrix 😆🙈🙈🙈🙉
You Read Dr. Chuck Tingle friend of mine jokingly bought me one of his books the man’s a legend

I can understand that… some people love them, some hate them.
You dodge this one; that’s fine by me.
Are you happy with chapter 1 of the Samurai Gardens?!

Yesterday Ortensia said she was happy; apologies I’ve not had time to source a front cover photo and do a post about it, inviting others. We liked your suggestion about the Samurai Gardens? I’ll look back ..

Hey! Thanks so much for thinking of me. And congrats to you for your nomination as well. It’s always nice to be recognized by peers. I am award-free, but I’ll be happy to answer your questions here:
If you have to choose a week away, all expenses paid, where would you go?
Ocracoke Island.
Who would you take with you?
My wife and boys…and any friends who may like to tag along.
What was your first car and if money was no object what would be your ultimate car.
My first car was ’72 VW Beetle, Orange with black vinyl interior. If money were no object, I’d love a fully restored International Scout. Not too picky on year, but I would be on color, tires, rims, racks, etc.
Enough about money. If you published a book, what genre would it be?
Well, I’m not a writer, so it’d likely be a photo book, like a big coffee table type book.
Who would play you in a film version of your life?
I have no idea…but it would be awesome if it could be Steve McQueen! 😃
Thanks again for the shoutout. It’s much appreciated! Keep up the fantastic work. 😊

Thanks for taking the time to answer anyway 🥂 (I love Steve McQueen, especially on that 🏍!)
Orange beetle, that was a popular colour of those … as for the international Scout I shall have to google one as I don’t recognise the name.
Mine would be a DB5. Silver, obv 🖤
Have a great week! And thanks for your always-support 🌸
