I was hoping to see Poldark come cantering around the coastline on his black horse …

… but instead we have Man of the Woods who is pretty good at providing free entertainment.

Looking like he just stepped off the farm, he’s basically ignored sensible beachwear and ended up in the sea wearing this outfit on three consecutive days ๐Ÿ™ˆ. I’ve had to utilise the holiday home’s washing machine each evening!

I’ve managed to squeeze in some reading time and am thoroughly enjoying JoJo Moyes’ third book in the Lou Clark story. Reading her prose once more, alongside two reading buddies, feels like putting on a pair of comfy loved slippers – I’ve blatantly pinched that from my friend who said it within a few pages and she is so right. It’s that inexplicable feeling you get when you adore an author’s style and you scan a bookshop shelves for more titles by them.

Daughter will never go hungry as her boyfriend can catch fish it seems … and paddle a canoe!

Keeping my water levels up as it’s warm here.

I’ve been working on a synopsis for the book – what a scary thing that is! A complete map of the plot, with twists and important scenes all covered… in one or two pages ๐Ÿ˜ฑ (lucky I discovered some amazing assistance atCreating Perfection).

Had three days notice to produce this for a meeting I’ve been allocated; can’t believe I shall be able to experience a 10-minute slot with a real live agent at the annual RNA conference! I feel very privileged to have been allocated my first choice of agent on the list of those attending.

I also feel very scared that I shall be tongue tied on the day! She gets to read 5000 words of my manuscript and the synopsis long before she meets with me. It will be fabulous experience even if nothing comes of it ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿผ๐ŸŒธ
