Thanks gorgeous… I’m not firing on all cylinders as mother went into hospital last night and we were not sure she’d make it through… but I’ve woken to no missed calls so I’m assuming she’s still with us ..

OH MY Gosh now I feel that I was insensitive to your current situation. Deepest of apologizes . May you find peace and fortitude during this difficult time . Last August my grandmother was passing away and for a week I was going to the Hospis care unit sitting on a chair next to her and sleeping right there.

That was a lovely thing to do for your grandmother.
Mother, on the other hand, whose sugar levels are practically back to normal after only 36 hours is indeed giving everyone hell, lying through her back teeth, making wild statements and disagreeing with the consultant who kindly told her she now needed insulin injections and he would be teaching her how to do them once she was back on solid food.
I’ve been in twice today and this afternoon, she asked for soup only… and turned down dad’s offer of her dentures.
She’s canny enough to work out she can be put the injections off while she’s not eating solid food 🙄
