Man of the Woods has a new toy.
When men buy new gadgets, they can become completely obsessed with said gadget until such time as boredom for the object takes over. Has anyone else noticed that?!! He has cooked on it the last two nights and plans to do so again this evening ππ (but don’t get me wrong – I’m not moaning. I’m happy to sit back and let him do his caveman cooking-outside thing ππΌ).
The first night he cooked prawns on this new cooker, which doubles as a fire pit.
We sat around it last night long after we’d finished eating looking up at the stars, spotting satellites skimming across the cloudless skies (at around 17,000 mph π±, according to my son).
We are here again. Daughter and her BF bought burgers and MoW has cooked them. We’ve had brioche rolls and halloumi and veggie kebabs… a trickle of Baileys .. and now I’m typing this while the others are talking UFOs and governments who hide the info.
It does make for an interesting topic, with or without Baileys.
No telly. Just chit chat. My son is blowing my mind with talk of Black holes, collapsed stars, escape velocity, speed of light … I love all that stuff. Is there anyone else out there type thing….
The air is seriously still. Oh, and by the way, I wrote 3,100 words today ππΌπ«
Enjoy your evenings xx

Patty, I am so fortunate. This year, heβs cooked more than I!
With my dayjob business, I could seriously do with a wife .. so MoW has had to start doing some meals, or weβd all simply have faded away by now ππ

I even thought of you as he was speaking!! Seriously!! He was describing light years (in greater depth than the obvious one we learn at school about how long light takes to reach our eyes) and how far away the nearest star actually is and how old Iβd end up if I tried to travel there on a regular rocket π
How did you spend your Friday or Saturday night then?

My Saturday night began with cooking dinner .
I made a pot of oolong tea , placed clothes in the washer , went to my computer started working on a program. Placed the clothes in the dryer, went back to the computer.
Grabbed all of the extremely warm clothes ran upstairs and covered myself in warm clothes on the couch and read my kindle . and hour and a half later I folded my clothes and went to bed.
