Still can’t believe it. I remember where we were when the feed went live. We were on holiday in Cornwall, with a 3 year old daughter and a 1 year old son.
Like many, we watched incredulous after the first tower had been hit and was engulfed in flames.. then in front of our very eyes…
So tragic and terrible. My heart goes out to all and everyone who was affected.
I recall looking out over Central Park from the top of one tower. I know my photo shows me smiling, and this is a sad day, but I still want to post it. To remind us how amazing Americans are.
Much love 🌸
Thank you for sharing this. You should be happy in that picture, looked like a beautiful day.
I lived in NY when it took place, (on Long Island) My husband was supposed to work in the Verizon building across the street from the towers. However, I didn’t learn he was transferred to another job site in Brooklyn until many hours later that day. I just remember thinking to myself, I lost him. You can never know what it was like to feel the relief of knowing he lived through that most horrible day.

True. A moment which shattered the world. I was visiting my mother in hospital and every TV set in every ward was showing the towers exploding. Will never forget.

I think every TV set on the planet was probably tuned in to what was unfolding like some sick action film… yet it was not fiction. Absolutely horrendous

Thank you! As just one American, my hope is that we’ll always collectively merit your support and friendship. Best, Brian

I hope so too.
We may have some crazy government stuff going on right now either the Brexit, but when the chips are down, the UK and the USA are a marriage for the long term.
